When I started my P90X experience, I began my journey with a group of other individuals online. We each came from all walks of life, different ages, and had very different personalities. The big thing we had in common was that we all made a commitment to live a healthier life. We each had our own personal reason for making the commitment to the challenge, but nonetheless, our commitment to be on the journey was the link that bound us.
Throughout the past couple months, I have appreciated my team. I love the accountability, the encouragement, and the environment to openly express struggles and accomplishments along the way. It’s ultimately because of this team that led to me to not only reach, but to exceed my fitness goals this time.
When you make big changes in your life, you will learn that not everyone is going to support or encourage your new lifestyle. And that’s ok! As certain people fade out of your life, you will attract new ones who will encourage your new ways. Some of these people will be maintaining their healthy lifestyle, some may be in the middle of their fitness transformation, and others may not have even started the process yet. The point is that it won’t matter where they are at in their personal journey to health, you will suddenly find yourself attracting like minded people into your life. Suddenly, these people will be a vital part of your journey.
Recently, I truly grasped the importance of how big of a part my team has played in this entire process. I realized this process has changed me more than just physically and it’s the personal growth I am easily able to share with my team, of which I am most proud of. I now share a bond with them that I never imagined I would, from several people whom I have never even met in person, yet they have impacted my life tremendously.
We are all in this together. And there is no greater feeling to know that you have the support of people who understand the process of what you are going through to live the healthiest life possible. Whether our paths ever meet face to face or not, my team will always hold a special place in my heart. We have less than two weeks left until our first full round of P90x is complete, as a team. And we aren’t stopping there. This is a life long journey to health and I am so excited to share it with my new fitness family.
